Vimeo App Returns to Apple TV With Redesigned Viewing Experience

Vimeo has relaunched its native app for Apple TV, bringing a rebuilt viewing experience to the platform after its previous version was discontinued. The new app offers a more direct way for users to watch high-quality, ad-free videos from the platform's creators on their television.

The redesigned app offers easy ways to discover and watch content, allowing users to browse Staff Picks and search for creators. It also features enhanced playback controls with chapters, speed adjustments, and multi-language options.

The Vimeo app requires an Apple TV running tvOS 18 or higher, which follows the release of tvOS 18.5 last month. While the new app focuses on the viewing experience, it does not currently support live events, commenting on videos, or uploading content. Account management and purchases must also be handled outside the app.
